Bell/Vista have recalled the Slope skate-style helmet
Bell Sports/Vista Outdoor (Bell, Blackburn, Copilot, Fox, Giro, Krash and Raskullz) recalled the Bell Slope skate-style model in adult sizes on January 4, 2024. The defect is straps that pull loose from the helmet shell. It is the same defect that led to a recall of the Giro Merit last year, but the Merit is a road helmet, not skate style.
The helmets were sold online and at Target, Fred Meyer, Academy and other stores nationwide from January 2023 through April 2023 for about $30. There is no info on how many helmets were recalled. The helmet is manufactured in Rantoul, Illinois. Only adult sizes are included. The helmets were sold in dark green and light blue.
